Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
Two Tab is a free planner run as a personal hobby by Gzim Gjeloshi in New York. It is not a company and is not run for profit. This page explains what information the site keeps, why, who can see it, and how to get it deleted. Questions go to gzim@gjeloshi.online.
The short version
- We keep only what the planner needs to work.
- We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
- We don't use your content to train AI.
- You can download everything or delete your account at any time from Settings.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture, through our sign-in provider, Clerk.
- What you put in the planner: events, to-dos, assignments, tests, grades, habits, journal entries, money entries, notes, flashcards, focus sessions and settings.
- Classroom activity: classes you join or create, your role, posts and comments, assignments you turn in, quiz answers and scores, and teacher feedback.
- Feedback you send through the Send feedback button, reports you make, answers to site polls (admins only see totals), and teacher access requests (your school and role).
- Basic technical data: when you were last active, plus the IP address and browser information that our hosting and sign-in providers record in their normal logs.
- Browser storage: your device remembers small preferences like light or dark mode and banners you closed. Our sign-in provider uses cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
Only to run the site: to show you your planner, run classrooms, send in-browser reminders you turn on, keep accounts secure, answer your requests and fix problems. Nothing else.
Who can see your information
- You.
- Anyone with your public page link, if you turn that page on. You choose how much it shows, and you can turn it off at any time.
- People in your classes. Teachers and staff in a class can see your name, email and everything you turn in for that class. Classmates can see your name and the posts and comments you make in the class stream. Classmates can't see your email, your grades or your work.
- Your school's administrators and counselors, only for classes your teacher has linked to your school. They can see your name, email, grades, missing work and attendance for those classes in the staff console. The class page says when a class is linked. They can never see your personal planner.
- Site admins can see your name, email, when you joined and were last active, how many items you have, which classes you're in and your role in them, and the names and sizes of classes. They can send you messages, approve teacher access, and pause or remove accounts, classes and public pages that break the rules. The admin pages do not show your planner, journal, grades, notes, or what anyone writes in a class.
- Reported content. If someone reports a class post, a comment or a public page, admins see a copy of that item and the reason given, so they can decide whether to remove it. Nothing else from your account is shown to them.
- The site owner has technical access to the database and will only look at other content to fix a problem you report, to investigate abuse or a safety concern, or when the law requires it.
- Service providers that run the site for us and may only use data to provide their service: Clerk (sign-in), Google Firebase (database), Vercel (hosting) and Google Fonts (fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads). Data may be stored in the United States.
- The law. We will share information if required by a valid legal order, or if needed to protect someone's safety.
Children and teens
Two Tab is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. The site asks for your age before you can use it. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 is using the site, email gzim@gjeloshi.online.
For users aged 13 to 17, we only process personal information that is needed to provide the features they choose to use, as New York's Child Data Protection Act requires. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it except as described above. Parents or guardians may contact us to ask about or delete a teen's information.
Students and schools
Two Tab is a hobby project. It is not a school-approved service and has no data privacy agreement with any school or district. Teachers who create classes do so on their own. New York schools that want to use a service with student data must have an agreement that meets New York Education Law § 2-d, so schools should not require students to use Two Tab, and teachers should not use it as the official record for grades. See the Terms for more.
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you delete it. When you delete your account in Settings, your planner, your public page and your class memberships are deleted right away, along with any classes you own. Copies may remain in our providers' logs for a short time. Admin activity logs and feedback you sent may be kept to help run the site safely; you can ask us to delete your feedback.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Data is encrypted at rest by our database provider. The database can't be reached directly from browsers; every request goes through our server, which checks who you are first. Only admins can open the admin pages. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your private information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as New York law (the SHIELD Act) requires.
Your choices
- See and download your data: Settings, Download backup.
- Correct it: edit anything in the planner, or your name in Settings and your account menu.
- Delete it: delete single items, use Delete everything, or Delete my account in Settings.
- Turn off your public page or leave a class whenever you want.
- Ask us anything at gzim@gjeloshi.online. We'll answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top and post a notice in the planner.
